The yellow finch, also known as the American goldfinch because this bright yellow and black-trimmed bird.It is found in North America. Mostly makes its home wherever temperatures are amenable and food is readily available.The photo you are looking at was taken at Bronx Zoo, not a part of the exhibit, but found a home and a water pipe to rest on. Wen in New York, the Bronx Zoo is a must visit and plan on at least a couple of days to see most of what's available. Don't forget your camera, as there is a lot to take pictures of and a great way to take your memories home.
